Chimney breast removal in Congleton
Removing a chimney breast in Congleton? We take out the breast and support the stack above on engineer-designed steel, then make good ready for decoration.
Congleton, Holmes Chapel and Alsager give us a steady run of kitchen-diner openings in 1960s–1990s houses, where the spine wall between kitchen and dining room nearly always carries the first floor.
Taking out a chimney breast can free up valuable floor space in a kitchen, living room or bedroom. When the breast is removed but the chimney above stays, the remaining masonry must be supported — usually on a steel beam designed by an engineer.
