Demolition & structural strip-out
Taking structure down safely is the other half of structural work. We carry out controlled demolition and strip-out for homeowners, landlords and commercial clients: internal walls and floors, chimneys, garages and outbuildings, and facade or canopy removal on commercial frontages — with temporary steels and propping designed in before anything comes down.
Work areas are segregated with heras fencing and netting, the public kept clear, and arisings cleared to licensed facilities.

Asbestos comes first
Buildings of a certain age need an asbestos survey before demolition or strip-out starts. We arrange the survey and, where needed, licensed removal before our team touches the structure.
What holds things up while it comes down
Part of a structure often carries another part. We plan the temporary works — props, needles and temporary steels — before removal starts, so the remaining building stays supported throughout.
Notices and neighbours
Some demolition needs prior notice to the council under Section 80 of the Building Act, and party wall notices where structures adjoin a neighbour. We tell you at survey what applies.

Do you need permission to demolish a garage or outbuilding?
Small detached structures can usually come down without planning permission, but conservation areas and listed settings differ, and larger demolition needs a Section 80 notice to the council. We confirm what applies at survey.
Can you demolish part of a building and leave the rest standing?
Yes — that is most of what we do. The remaining structure is supported with engineer-designed temporary works before the section comes down.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes. Arisings are cleared as the job goes and disposed of through licensed waste carriers, with hardcore crushed or recycled where possible.
