Chimney breast removal in Salford
Removing a chimney breast in Salford? We take out the breast and support the stack above on engineer-designed steel, then make good ready for decoration.
Salford runs from city-fringe terraces and new apartments at the Quays to leafier semis and villas in Worsley, Monton and Ellesmere Park — a steady mix of knock-throughs, rear openings and chimney breast removals.
Taking out a chimney breast can free up valuable floor space in a kitchen, living room or bedroom. When the breast is removed but the chimney above stays, the remaining masonry must be supported — usually on a steel beam designed by an engineer.
