Chimney breast removal in Stockport
Removing a chimney breast in Stockport? We take out the breast and support the stack above on engineer-designed steel, then make good ready for decoration.
From Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme semis to stone terraces in Marple and Romiley, Stockport work ranges from single doorway openings to full through-lounges with twin beams.
Taking out a chimney breast can free up valuable floor space in a kitchen, living room or bedroom. When the breast is removed but the chimney above stays, the remaining masonry must be supported — usually on a steel beam designed by an engineer.
