Chimney breast removal in Wilmslow
Removing a chimney breast in Wilmslow? We take out the breast and support the stack above on engineer-designed steel, then make good ready for decoration.
From 1930s semis off Altrincham Road to substantial detached homes around Fulshaw Park and Alderley Edge, Wilmslow projects are often about opening the back of the house to the garden — goalpost frames for wide sliders are a regular job here.
Taking out a chimney breast can free up valuable floor space in a kitchen, living room or bedroom. When the breast is removed but the chimney above stays, the remaining masonry must be supported — usually on a steel beam designed by an engineer.
